On Monday, the court heard call records and data retrieved from phones documented Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most covered investigations and is still unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another phone message, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine had been, but I believe what I believe."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's voicemail stated: "What if there is a slight possibility that I'm her? What then? Wouldn't that be important for you?"

"I do not need money, I possess a life here in Poland, I only wish to know," the recording stated.

The jury was told that via electronic messages, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a bid to display a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

The investigator, an intelligence analyst with the police force who compiled the information, advised the court there "seemed to lack any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also communicated with acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann responded to a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt deposited a message on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I will persist and I intend to demonstrate my position."

The court heard the co-defendant developed a association via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a trip to the McCanns' home in the county in last December.

Phone records showed Mrs Spragg had contacted via communication app to Mrs McCann to express the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the period leading up to the trip to the village, the county, in that winter.

The court heard message exchanges between the two defendants, in last November, considering endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her bins or from silverware at a eating establishment.

"We need to assert ourselves," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the appearance to their residence, the defendant transmitted a message which expressed: "We find ourselves positioned outside the McCanns' residence with our headlights off like detectives. I had hoped to do this with another person I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The case ongoing.
