Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

An official for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions towards women.

The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
